The Marco Bay Yacht Club celebrated their thirty sixth annual Change of Watch/Commodore's Ball Saturday, January 23, 2010.  The elegant Hideaway Beach Club hosted 106 members and guests, starting with hot hor d'oeuvres, a five-star main course and once again, a spectacular dessert, which no one left on their plate.
Congratulations to Commodore Joe Doggett, the Bridge Officers, Directors and Chairpersons for making the past year wonderful, busy and exciting for all of the MBYC members.  You all put in so many hours of hard work and the members thank you.
After announcing that he left his speech at home and receiving a huge round of applause, our new Commodore, Bill Horton, introduced the Bridge Officers, Directors and Chairpersons for 2010 and sent a special message to all MBYC members to become involved on a committee or co-chair an event and help the club by bringing in new members.  Our club can only be as strong as your involvement.
Once again, with the women in their glitter and gowns, the men in their club uniforms and tuxedos, Dan Voss entertained us all by playing and singing for more than four hours, keeping everyone dancing the evening away.  Thank you all for making this year's Commodore's Ball such a success.
