Approximately 100 Pirates and their Wenchs (sorry Ladies) shipped out to Calusa Island Marina on February 12th with many dressed up for the occasion. All in attendance had a great time. P/C David Besuden led the games assisted by Marcia and Alex Orsolini. Needless to say, David did a great job as usual and was able to get many to participate in the games with his humor and persistence. The prizes of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum probably helped too. Thanks to David, Marcia and Alex.
The pig roast was catered by Cracklin’ Jacks with plenty for all.
Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate for the 31 boats scheduled to set sail for the marina, but three hardy crews did make the trip in their boats. Cold and blustery weather did not stop those attending from having a great time and several comments were heard to make this a yearly event.
Our sincere thanks to Calusa Island Marina for the use of their great facilities and their great help in making this a great event. Thanks to all who helped clean up.
