On Tuesday, November 29th, three sturdy boats (Nauti Bouy, TenneSea Waltz, and Cookin) bravely set out in choppy seas for Laishley Marina on the Peace River north of Port Charlotte.  They were the first from Marco Bay to explore this quaint little spot in the heart of Punta Gorda, but they were not disappointed with the clean friendly marina, the good restaurants and the charming little shops near the marina.  Later on Thursday, December 1st, they made their way down to Legacy Marina in Ft. Myers where they met up with Therapy III, Odiekanobi, Ruufin It, Regal Time, and Denise’s Hope.  Legacy Marina is an old favorite of Marco Bay and everyone enjoyed the stories, jokes and great food at Docktails in the Sailors Room that night. (How about those shoes!! OH NO – Not more shoes on the Boat complains the Captain!!)  The next day, many went shopping in the renovated downtown area of Ft. Myers and everyone enjoyed dinner together that night at the Veranda (a taste of Key West in Ft. Myers).   On Saturday, December 4th, we all “stoked the fires and kicked the tires” and went to Naples Bay Resort to meet up with the MBYC day boats traveling to Bonefish for lunch.  It was quite a chaotic sight to see Marco Bay large and small boats, Naples Yacht Club Presentation of the Fleet boats, police boats, Sea tow boats, weekend pleasure boats, and a small fleet of sailboats all in the channel to Naples at the same time!!!  We did arrive safely to Bonefish and once again Jim Lane put on a very successful outing with large boaters, small boaters and land yacht travelers.  That night everyone who stayed in Naples Bay was too tired to go out for dinner, so we ordered in pizzas for everyone.  On Sunday, the last day of our “fun cruise” was spent shopping (again!!), playing games, handing around the boat and enjoying our friends.  That evening we all got together for dinner at Bistro 821 and proved to be a Great Meal for a Great Value with Great Buddies.  Sea you All on the Next Cruise…
