A NOTE FROM P/C JIM HAYNES
(August 2007)

I found the Christmas parade pictures. The “Lil Engine That Could” was mounted on the bow of our “Nut 'N Honey”.  We led several other MBYC boats that were outfitted like railroad cars with presents aboard. When we reached the judging stand at “The Snook Inn”, we turned to face the judges, tooted the whistle, blew a puff of smoke and the 'lil engine winked at the judges. Another first place.  As I recall, the MBYC won the first five or so “Best In Parade” trophies.
