Naples City Dock Cruise 01/09

We didn't go far, but we sure had fun. Naples City Dock is a perfect destination for an easy cruise: pretty water, lots of good restaurants, and shopping galore, if one is so inclined. After docking, everyone headed to The Dock for lunch. (By the way, Lisa, the Dock Master, told us that, in all her years of docking boats, our group was, by far, the best she'd ever had.)
Most spent a leisurely afternoon, although some of us cleaned our boat. (Guess who!) The Burns graciously invited us for cocktail hour on the beautiful Molly B. Of course, there was so much food that we didn't need dinner.

Friday, some had a wonderful breakfast at the Cove Inn while others stayed on their boat in P.J.'s, some shopped, some read in the sun, some napped. All were happy. Friday night was special: dinner at Bleu Provence. The restaurant is a charming place not even a block from the dock. The food was fabulous, and, of course, we sang Happy Birthday, not only to Denise, but also to Dottie Martinak.
Saturday was the perfect ending to a perfect cruise. 60 members, including 20 boaters and 40 who drove, had lunch at The Boathouse. Isn't it amazing what people will do for a good meal? From the noise level, it was obvious that everyone had a good time.

But all good things must come to an end. After lunch, we all readied our boats and said goodbye to Naples, heading to Marco on yet another beautiful day. Thanks to the Cooks and Risings for a great trip.
