Then we waddled off to witness the spectacular fireworks and the magnificent parade.  It was the grandest ever, featuring wildly interwinding highway patrol motorcycles, clowns, military vehicles, bands, beautiful floats (some two-trailers long), and highlighted with marching marines, infantry, and navy, all proudly carrying “Old Glory.”

 

Sunday, we were blessed with smooth seas for our return to beautiful Marco Island and more fun with our wonderful MBYC gang.

 

Oh yes, I must extend my special thanks to Bob Vroman and Joe Anzalone for all their help with my boat problem.  They live by the old adage “A friend in need is a friend indeed.”  Thanks Bob and Joe.
