Spa Girl Party

On Wednesday, April 28th, twenty-three first mates met at noon for a traditional afternoon tea at Brambles English Tea Room on Fifth Avenue South in Naples.  After browsing through the gift shop, we sat down to enjoy an assortment of finger sandwiches such as egg mayonnaise, baked ham, cucumber with cream cheese and smoked salmon.  The lunch also included English scones with fresh strawberries, real Devon cream, strawberry preserve and an assortment of delicious tea pastries.  We had a choice of strawberry vanilla or peach tea that were wonderful.  Good food, pleasant conversation and a charming atmosphere made a delightful afternoon. 

At 10AM on Friday morning, May 21st, ten first mates arrived at Phyllis Ostrow's home and started the event with glasses of mimosas to get over the shock of seeing each other without make up, au natural.  Tammy Miloro provided us with soft music, candles, heated neck wraps, an assortment of cleansers and creams, and treatments for our eyes, lips and faces.  We then experimented with different make up for our own complexions.  There was lots of laughter and of course there were no pictures taken because no one wanted to be seen with cucumbers on their eyes.
