Commodore’s December 2009 Message

Welcome back to those of you who arrived after the Welcome Back Party.  87 members enjoyed a great time at Kretch’s on Nov. 8.  Thank you Betty Barter (Jack too) and Sue Anzalone (also Joe) for the planning and execution of a great event.

At the Annual Membership Meeting conducted at the Welcome Back Party, the following Bridge and Directors were elected:

           Rear Commodore – Sue Anzalone

Director, Class of 2011 (in place of Sue Anzalone) – Ginny

                    Vroman

           Directors – Class of 2012

                      Joe Anzalone

                      Joe Herrin

                      Linda Sandlin

                      Larry Skelson

Congratulations to those elected.   I feel we have a great Rear Commodore and Directors to continue the great tradition of MBYC.

Plenty of activities coming up are indicated in the Fleet Captains’ report.  The next great social event will be the annual Holiday Party on December 8 at Hideaway Beach Clubhouse.  It should be a fantastic time.  Boat decorating for both the street parade and boat parade is on schedule.  Please contact Joe and Sharon Doggett for the Street Parade and Dave Besuden or Bob Vroman for the Boat Parade.

Sharon and I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah.  Have a great holiday season and enjoy the boating and social events with MBYC friends and time spent with families.  May those of you traveling during December also have a safe trip and hurry back.

Joe Doggett, Commodore
